Welcome to Rivendell Guest House 4 Star Rated in Swanage, Dorset, with nine bedrooms, all en suite, guest lounge with open fire TV, DVD, book and games.<br>Our relaxed and friendly guest house is perfectly situated 5 minutes from the beach, shops and Swanage Steam Railway, We are also within easy reach of the Purbecks and the South West Costal Path and the Dorset coast where you will find superb diving, walking, cycling, climbing, and bird watching opportunities. <br>The Guest House is over looking the beautiful parish church of St Mary the Virgin.<br>Less than 40 minutes away by car or train are the historic towns of Wareham, Poole, Dorchester and Weymouth, who will be hosts to the 2012 Olympic Sailing, events.<br>The guest house has a Comprehensive fire alarm and emergency lighting throughout.<br>The pressurised water supplied to all rooms is rising main and suitable for drinking.<br>The whole house is centrally heated and has thermostatically controlled radiators in each bedroom: Please note that rooms 7-8-9 are on the second floor.<br>Rooms and Facilities<br>For the safety of our guests, Rivendell is a non-smoking guest house. <br>All of our rooms are en suite with either a bath or power shower or combination of both, with flat screen TV with Free View. In the refurbishment of the house we have retained the original features retaining all the charm and character of this beautiful Victorian building and still giving top quality en suite facilities. <br>Superior Double Ensuite<br>Our large Double Superior room benefits from a luxurious super king size bed and quality solid pine furniture. The décor is of a high standard and in calm colours.<br>The room has an ensuite bathroom with a thermostatically controlled power shower and is fitted out to the highest standard. The room itself is equipped with a Flat Screen TV, radio alarm clock and a well stocked hospitality tray.
