Dower Cottage is a large country house situated in a quiet country lane just below The South Downs Way. It is an ideal position for walking, cycling, horse riding and many other leisure pursuits.
It has six bedrooms, two en-suite family rooms, two double rooms with shared shower room and one twin room and one single room that share a bathroom. All bedrooms have lovely views over the weald and over the large gardens and paddock.
There is also a library for guests to relax in and to read the many books or play board games.
Breakfast is cooked on our 4 oven Aga and is taken in our dining room overlooking the terrace and if you're lucky our wild birds and squirrels will entertain you during breakfast. Some guests have even spotted deer passing by!!
We are very well situated for the airports. Gatwick is only 35mins away and Heathrow, 1 1/2 hrs (M25 allowing).
For garden lovers there are many National Trust Gardens nearby. Wakehurst Place, Sheffield Park and Nymans are all within 25mins.
We also have two self catering cottages in the grounds. These are both double bedded studio cottages that sleep two people and have en-suite bathrooms, fitted kitchens and central heating. Both have lovely views over the gardens and paddock.
